Python I'm not that good at it

Now in real life I am a Java Developer, however Ubuntu packages are preferred to be written in Python, so I have learned (a bit) to make this application.

So, I am 5 days into learning Python and have a working application, I know that doesn't mean my Python code is any good.

What I need is some Python Veterans to pull my code apart, laugh, mock me, then tell me how to do it all better.

Any help is appreciated.
